Rabi Al Awwal is a time to remember our Habib, Beloved, Prophet peace be on him and it is also the time when the companions started making dua for Allah to allow them to reach Ramadan. 6 months prior to Ramadan, Rabi Al Awwal, they would make dua for 6 months asking to reach Ramadan, and 6 months after Ramadan asking Allah to accept their Ramadan. Ibn Rajab reported: Ma’la ibn al-Fadl, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “The companions would make dua to Allah for six months prior that they would reach Ramadan. AI: Destruction of Creativity & Ingenuity If you ever noticed flyers being made recently theres a pattern. The AI generated ones all look the same. Same color scheme, same colors, fonts, and styles. The perception that AI will synthesize unique designs based on what it has been given and then prompted has yet to be developed. The generation of the same design seems to just mimic a human character that some may resort to when tasked with the same job repeatedly... laziness. You see, if pressed to design over and over again, it's simply easier to rinse and repeat. Essentially the easiest thing to do is to continue to use the same thing over and over again. Now while consistency and repetition in many things are praiseworthy, it is not when ingenuinity and creativity are required. AI is destroying that in many ways. While it can be used as an amazing tool to enhance such creativity and ingenuity, and it is being done by some, many resort to the same laziness that the AI generates. Laziness and uncreative, "gets-the-job-done," type of behavior begets the same. This is a call to actually stop being lazy and continue to use the tools we have to enhance our creativity, not destroy it. Please stop AI generating the same boring things 😁. It's an eye sore.

O Allah, do not leave a sin of ours in this gathering of ours except that You forgive it, nor a debt except that You settle it, nor an anxiety except that You relieve it, nor a sick person except that You heal them, nor a stranger absent from home except that You bring them near, nor any need among the needs of this world and the Hereafter that is good for us and pleasing to You except that You fulfill it. O Allah, settle the debts of those in debt, relieve the distressed and the afflicted, decree safety for all travelers by land and sea, and reward, O Allah, the doers of good with the best reward. O Allah, our forelocks are in Your hand, and our hearts are in Your grasp. You know our movements, our resting places, our secrets, and our private conversations. To You is our return and ultimate destination. You are above all servants in Your might; You are the Creator and we are the created, You are the Master and we are the possessed, You are the Lord and we are the servants, You are the Rich and we are the poor. Hear our prayer, and do not cut off our hope in everything we have asked of You and desired from You, for that is easy for You, and You are the Best Master and the Best Helper. There is no power nor might except by Allah, the High, the Great. And the close of their prayer will be, "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds." May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our master Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and his pure wives, the Mothers of the Believers. Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. My success is not but through Allah; upon Him I rely, and to Him I turn.

And just as You cursed Iblis (Satan) on that day, protect us from Your wrath and keep us away from acts of disobedience to You, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. O Allah, grant us martyrdom and ultimate happiness just as You did for Abel, and make us, O Lord, among Your beloved ones just as You did for Al-Khalil (Abraham, the Intimate Friend). O Allah, cool for us the fire of the Hereafter just as You made the fire cool for Your close friend Abraham, and destroy our enemies just as You destroyed the enemies of Moses in the sea. O Allah, save us from the flood of desires and whims, and send down upon us tranquility and dignity in the life of this world. O Allah, remove harm and affliction from us, and restore to us the insight of our hearts after confusion and blindness. O Allah, when You bring us out of the prison of this world, honor us with the kingdom of eternal life, and restore to us what we have missed of the goodness of piety. O Allah, forgive us our past and future sins, what we have done openly and what we have kept secret, and what You know better than we do, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. O Allah, O Pillar of him who has no pillar, O Treasure of him who has no treasure, O Protection of him who has no protection, O Helper of him who has no helper! O Strengthener of the hearts of those who know You, O Place of Rest for the paths of those who rely upon You, O Witness of the gatherings of those who fear You, O Reliever of the slips of those who stumble! O Most Merciful of those who show mercy, answer our prayers and do not deprive us of the best of what is with You because of the evil of what is within us. O Allah, make us among those encompassed by Your mercy and reached by Your pardon. Overlook what You know of our sins through Your mercy, and overlook our past shortcomings in obeying You, according to the goodness You have promised us from Yourself, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor. O Allah, O our Master, Your actions toward us have been noble, yet we disobeyed You; we found You to be Generous, so we called upon You; and we encountered You as Merciful, so we asked of You. O Allah, just as You blessed us with concealment (of our faults) and well-being while we were in a state of sin and disobedience, do not deprive us of forgiveness and mercy when we are in a state of pleading and humility. Our Lord and Master, have mercy on our exile in this world, have mercy on our fall at the moment of death, comfort our loneliness in the graves, have mercy on our humbled stance before You, and forgive us those deeds of ours that remained hidden from people. O Allah, look upon us with a gaze of pleasure, and protect us from a gaze of disgrace and defects. O Allah, do not make us among those from whom You have turned Your face away, whose pardon You have erased, to whom You have closed the door of repentance, from whose hands You have cut off the means of protection, whose heart You have sealed and blinded due to their sin, and whom You have left entirely to themselves. Indeed, You are Over All Things Competent. O Allah, our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. O Allah, O our Lord, Master, and Protector, do not leave us to ourselves for even the blink of an eye. Protect us, safeguard for us what You have provided us, bless us in what You have given us, and do not allow any of Your creation to have authority or power over us, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. O Allah, ease us toward the path of ease, and keep us away from hardship. O Allah, we ask You from Your bounty and gifts for a sustenance that is pure, lawful, and blessed. O Allah, guide us to true guidance, protect us with piety, and forgive us with a safeguarding forgiveness in this world and the Next.

Fast on Ashura - 10th of Muharram, and Tasua (9th of Muharram) if you can. Ashura, the 10th of Muharram, will fall on Thursday, June 25th. 9th being on June 24th. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said in the well-known ḥadīth that fasting on the day of ʿArafah forgives the sins of the past year and the forthcoming year, and fasting on the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ forgives the sins of the past year. Imām al-Ramlī (d. 1004) writes in his Nihāyah 2/501: “The fast of ʿArafah expiates for two years, while the fast of ʿĀshūrāʾ expiates for one year, only because the former is a Muḥammadan day, whereas the latter is a Mosaic day, and our Prophet ﷺ is the most virtuous of all the prophets—may the blessings of Allāh and His peace be upon them all.”

Allah have mercy on the deceased and may they be martyrs and the depths of hell to the gunmen. This is the result of continuous targeted hate speech and bigotry against Muslims and Islam. We must be more vigilant and stand against hate and savagery. Our community will not tolerate it.

The 10 Best Days of The Year Your Hajj Doesn't Start from Your Journey - Hajj Starts with Making the Best of Dhul Hijjah Soon the announcement will be made of when the month of Dhul Hijjah will be. This will mark the 10 Best Days of the Year - the 1st 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah. Yes even better than Ramadan. You need to make the best of this and capitalize in every form of worship. Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهم reported that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?" He said, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." (Reported by Bukhari, 2/457). - A lot of Dhikr. Prophet was asked, “Which of those who fast are the best?” He replied, “Those who remember Allah the most” (Aḥmad). So if this was the case that the best fasting, especially in Ramadan, are the ones that do the most Dhikr, similarly those that are in Hajj or in these 10 days: the best Hajj and the best in Dhul Hijjar are the ones that do the most dhikr. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded us to recite a lot of Tasbih ("Subhan-Allah"), Tahmid ("Al-hamdu Lillah") and Takbir ("Allahu akbar") during this time. ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahlil ("La ilaha ill-Allah"), Takbir and Tahmid." (Reported by Ahmad, 7/224) - You can fast as much as you want from these days. The pilgrim specifically does not have to fast on the day of Arafah to preserve their energy for dua, and we of course do not fast the day of Eid. - Recite Quran and try to finish it in these days. - Charity every day - Sacrifice, doing more than one is sunnah. - Importantly the whole point of these days is Sacrifice, so we must sacrifice our ego and desires and sincerely repent and reflect. The best time of the year to do so is in these 10 days.
