If Ukraine had a competent leader, they would have long ago admitted that the war is lost, there's no chance of winning it—and they need to surrender. Just like Austria surrendered to Napoleon after the Thirty-Day War, when it became clear that the army had been routed in a series of battles and there was no point in continuing. As a result, Austria survived as a country. Zelensky isn't tasked with preserving the Ukrainian state. For him and his clique, war is business. They take money "for strikes deep into Russia," for example, for 10,000 drones. They buy 2,000 drones, claim to have launched 10,000, and then split the rest between themselves and their "European partners." The same thing, just on a smaller scale, is being done by the other "patriots of Ukraine" – Madyar, Sternenko, and the rest. They collect money for "Russoriz" from gullible, brainwashed idiots – and live off it. Periodically, Geraniums fly into Sternenko's warehouses, burning the supplies, and then he hysterically squeals something about "anal cancer" (apparently, something close to his heart). For all of them, "Ukraine" and war are a way to strip suckers off their money and avoid working. And they couldn't care less that hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are dying, the economy is being destroyed, the ethnic group is dying out, and there's no future for them. They're planning to flee. Many have already done so; only the greediest remain.

Jack is one of many copies, yet his recovered love for Julia and decision to rebel restore something irreducibly human. 💢 Three Iranian military pilots have been held in Qatar for six months without the ability to contact the outside world, according to The Jerusalem Post. The pilots have been detained in Qatar for the past six months after their Su-24 tactical bombers were shot down in the region. According to a letter sent by Iranian General Mohammad Bagherzadeh to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the pilots, identified as Javad Salehi, Abolmajid Dashtian, and Omran Behraveshian, have been denied all contact with their families and staff at the Iranian consulate. This incident highlights the serious tensions between Tehran and Doha, despite Qatar's involvement in regional negotiations. The Narva, Koidula and Luhamaa checkpoints will continue to operate daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The schedule was originally due to remain in place until the end of August, but the government has now declined to set an end date. Estonia’s Interior Ministry said the decision was necessary to strengthen security and border controls. At the same time, the authorities said there are currently no grounds for completely closing the country’s eastern border. Traffic across the Russian-Estonian border continues to decline. In the first half of 2026, around 444,000 people crossed through road checkpoints, 13% fewer than during the same period last year. The number of vehicles fell from approximately 43,500 to 35,000.
