It is reported that Imam Ahmed used to make the following dua during sujud: اللهم من كان في هذه الأمة على غير الحق ويظن أنه على الحق فردّه إلى الحق "O Allah, whoever from this Ummah is upon other than the truth, and he thinks that he is upon the truth, then return him to the truth" [الحلية لأبي نعيم]
It is from noble manners to ignore/overlook any shortcomings of people, and that which emerges from heedlessness such as exposure of 'awrah (nakedness) and the release of gas accompanied by sound or smell. Whoever hears it should appear not to hear it, pretend to be asleep or ignore it to avoid the person from getting embarrassed. This is from noble etiquettes. However, it is not praiseworthy to overlook/ignore shortcomings related to the religion and honour, especially the obligatory matters, due to the obligation of commanding good and forbidding evil. Advice for those who feel like they do not have barakah in their time: One of the Salaf said: The more that I recited of the Qur’an each day, the more barakah there was in my time. And I continued to increase (how much I recited) until my daily portion reached ten Juz. Ibrahim bin Abdul Wahid Al-Maqdisi said, advising Al-Dhiya Al-Maqdisi when he wanted to travel to seek knowledge: “Recite the Qur’an often and do not abandon it; for what you seek will be made easy for you in proportion to the extent that you recite.” Al-Dhiya said: So I saw that and practiced it a lot. And (I observed that) if I recited the Quran a lot, it would be easy for me to listen to and write a lot of hadith, but if I did not recite, it would not be easy for me.

Al-Khalil (Ibrahim alayhis salaam) said while calling his father to Tawhid: “I fear that a torment from the Most Merciful will overtake you, and you will become an ally of the shaytaan.” Real love is that you love goodness and guidance for those whom you care about; you fear the Fire for him; and you strive to save him from it; so you prevent him from becoming allies with the shayateen. It is not from love that you see him on his falsehood, loyal to the devils, and then you do not warn him, leaving him to fall into the fire.
It is recommended that: -if one recites a verse of Mercy, that he asks Allah SWT for His Fadhl(Bounty) •اللهم إني أسألك من فضلك -If one recites a verse of Punishment, that he seeks refuge in Allah SWT from evil and from Punishment •اللهم إني أسألك العافية •اللهم إني أسألك المعافاة من كل مكروه -If one recites a verse of declaring Allah SWT transcendent beyond imperfections, that he should declare Him transcendent beyond imperfections.
The best recitation is that during the prayer. Outside of prayer, it is best to recite at night - the last half of the night being better than the first. When reciting during the day, the best time is after the Fajr prayer.
Many people start seeking knowledge, but [the ones who grow onto become] scholars are those who are consistent upon it. Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Firyabi said: Sufyan al-Thawri said to me one day when people had gathered around him [to seek knowledge]: O Muhammad, you see these people, how many they are! A third of them [will] die, a third will leave of what you hear [i.e leave og seeking knowledge], and from the remaining third, how few are those who will come out excellent! Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi said: I was one day at the door of Shu'ba, and the mosque was full, so Shu'ba came out and leaned on me, and said: O Sulayman, do you think that all of these people will come out as Muhadditheen? I said: No. He said: You are right, not even five. I said: Five! [in suprise, at the low number] He said: Yes, one of them writes when he is young, then when he grows old he stops, and one of them writes when he is young, then when he grows old he engages in evildoing. He said: So he kept repeating this to me. Abu Dawud said: Then later I checked, and not five of them came out (as Muhadditheen).

Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: “Religion is sincerity.” He said it three times. We asked the Prophet, “To whom, Oh Messenger of Allah?" He replied, “To Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the leaders of the Muslims and to their general masses." Explanation from Jami' al Ulum wal Hikam of ibn Rajab: sincerity to Allah- • pure monotheism and ascribing to Him only all attributes of perfection and majesty, along with exalting Allah far above any defects and imperfections • to avoid any disobedience of him and stand firm in obedience to Him and utmost devotion to Him • to love and hate only for Allah's sake • to wage Jihad against those who oppose Allah • to call others to all of this and encourage them in that direction sincerity to the book of Allah- • Belief in it, honoring it, defending it, reciting it as it should be recited and binding oneself to its orders and its prohibitions. • To understand its knowledge and its parables, contemplate its signs and call others to it. •To defend it against the extremists who distort it and the attacks of the atheists. sincerity to Allah’s Messenger- •To believe in him and in what he brought. •To respect and honor him. •To hold fast to obedience to him and the revival and preservation of his Sunnah. •To collect and spread the knowledge he brought. •To be an enemy to whoever bears enmity to him and to have allegiance to all those who have allegiance to him. •To take his lofty character traits as your own as much as you can and his manners as your manners. •Finally to love his family members and his Companions. sincerity to the imams of the Muslims- •To aid them and assist them in the way of the Truth •To obey them therein and remind them of the truth. •To bring to their attention any shortcomings of theirs gently and with respect and to avoid attacking them. •To pray to Allah to grant them every success and keep them on the correct way. sincerity to the masses of the Muslims- •Guiding them to what will benefit them.Teaching knowledge of both the religion and [beneficial] worldly matters. •Concealing their faults and shortcomings. •Aiding and protecting them against any who bear enmity toward them unjustly. •Avoiding any lying or deception of any of them, nor having any envy of anyone and to learn to love for another what you love for yourself and to dislike for another what you dislike for yourself.
