Northern Strike 26-2 is a massive, multi-component, and multinational joint readiness exercise. It takes place at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center (primarily encompassing Camp Grayling and the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center) in Michigan. This iteration of the exercise runs from August 1 to 15, 2026, bringing together approximately 9,000 participants from dozens of U.S. states and multiple allied countries to train in complex, all-domain environments. During Northern Strike 26-2, operators from the 5th Special Forces Group have been documented conducting specialized tasks including nighttime combat dive training in Tawas City, military free-fall parachute jumps from CH-47 Chinooks, and tactical live-fire integration alongside ground and air units.
