Join Aallonhuiput for a day hike in Nuuksio National Park! 🌲 We’ll meet on July 4th at 13:00 at the Haltia bus stop - please be on time! The hike will be relaxed and around 12 km, with opportunities to swim in a lake and grill sausages. What to bring: 1. Water!!!, 2. proper shoes, 3. Sunscreen/hat; Optional: swimsuit and towel if you want to cool off, anti-mosquito spray, grilling food (we will provide some sausages) Free sign up here

Wherever research takes you In academia, industry, and clinics, research may start from the same curiosity, but it often follows very different rules. The questions we ask, the constraints we face, the timelines we work with, and the way we define impact can change completely depending on where the research happens. This time our DOC+ Dialogues panel will be organized by our active PhD students from the Bionic and Rehabilitation research group. Panel discussion will explore different research paths and perspectives across academia, industry, and clinical practice. We will discuss what drives research in each environment, what skills transfer across them, and how early-career researchers can think more critically about their future paths. Our panelists will be Dr. Ivan Vujakija (Assistant Professor in Bionic and Rehabilitation research group at Aalto University), Dr. Hanna Renvall (Assistant Professor from Aalto University and Laboratory director of BioMag Laboratory at HUS), Dr. Matija Strbac (Director of Tecnalia Serbia) and PhD Students from SmartAnkle project.
