TrumpRx is real and has delivered substantial discounts on selected medicines, and the Trump administration has negotiated price reductions with drugmakers. But the BLS data do not establish that TrumpRx or Trump's policies caused the nationwide 3.1% decline. The prescription drug CPI reflects overall amounts paid, including insurance discounts, Medicare payments, and consumers switching to cheaper drugs. Thus, OAN turns a genuine economic statistic into a stronger political claim than the evidence supports.
