  • Recovery of Ukraine’s seaborne exports difficult to predict – Vysotskyi   It is currently difficult to predict how quickly Ukraine will be able to restore seaborne exports. Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi said this at a briefing on August 14, Interfax-Ukraine reported.   He noted that the suspension of the maritime corridor at the end of July led to a decline in Ukraine’s grain exports: from August 1 to 12, they amounted to 590 thousand tons, or 30% of the required level.   “We expect that going forward we will be able to reach 50%... with all the effects on international balances,” the minister said.   At the same time, he noted that there are opportunities to partially increase exports, but without the resumption of operations at the Black Sea ports, they will still reach only up to 50% of the required level.   As for the Danube export route, which is currently unable to operate at full capacity due to drought, Vysotskyi said that reaching the planned level of around 1.5 million tons per month could be possible closer to the end of the year.   The minister also noted that Ukraine currently has sufficient permanent grain storage capacity, but a shortage of 8-11 million tons could emerge in November after the corn harvest, which they hope to cover through temporary storage facilities.   “A corresponding request for $10 million in funding has already been sent to international partners,” Vysotskyi said. ➡️ More news on our website

  • Prices for food wheat in Ukrainian Danube ports recovered – APK-Inform   According to APK-Inform, bid prices for food wheat in the Danube ports increased this week. Prices are being supported by a very limited supply of the crop from farmers, prompting some companies to raise purchase prices to urgently cover previously contracted positions.   However, the increase is still not encouraging farmers to sell amid prices below profitable levels, and they are taking a wait-and-see approach. At the same time, strong price pressure persists due to difficulties moving grain out, caused by continued Russian attacks on port and railway infrastructure, abnormally low water levels, and limited throughput capacity on the Danube.   As of August 12, bid prices for Class 2 and Class 3 food wheat in the Danube ports were mainly at $166-175 per ton and $165-173 per ton CPT-port, respectively, which is $1-4 per ton higher than at the end of last week. ➡️ More news on our website

  • Asia Grains&Oils Conference in Tashkent 2026 to be held with support from NOPA   The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) is supporting the international Asia Grains&Oils Conference, which will be held on September 16-17, 2026, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The National Oilseed Processors Association was established in 2021 to develop Kazakhstan’s domestic vegetable oil and fat industry, ensure the country’s food independence, and strengthen and expand the position of Kazakh products on the global market. The association is accredited by the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. • Rapeseed prices in Ukraine continue to decline – APK-Inform   According to experts at APK-Inform, rapeseed prices in Ukraine continued to decline last week, driven by a similar trend in the export market, moderate demand from processors and still fairly large supply.   “Bid prices from processing companies were in a fairly wide range, but it can effectively be divided into workable prices of UAH 20,000-21,800 per ton CPT and indicative prices of UAH 18,500-19,000 per ton CPT,” the report said.   At the same time, large stocks of raw materials at plants and the start of oilseed processing by many companies contributed to a decline in prices for processed products.   “While rapeseed oil prices were declining more moderately and most of the volumes had already been contracted, meal supply on the domestic market is increasing, while its prices have fallen by more than UAH 2,000 per ton over the past week and a half,” the experts added. ➡️ More news on our website
