  • Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله: ‎“If the thought of leaving this world saddens the heart, ‎then the cure is to know that this world is not a dwelling of satisfaction, ‎rather its pleasure and satisfaction is in leaving it.” ‎[Disciplining The Soul | Pg. 77] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “Six matters that are linked to the prayer have been indicated as marks of hypocrisy: 1. Laziness when one stands up to pray 2. Intending to show off with one’s prayer 3. Delaying the prayer 4. Praying in an extremely hasty manner 5. Barely remembering Allah during the prayer 6. Abandoning the congregational prayer.” [كتاب الصلاة واحكام تاركها، ص ١٠٥] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: ‎"A person should walk a number of steps after eating at night even if it is merely a hundred steps, and he should not sleep right after eating as it causes great harm (to one's body)." ‎ [زاد المعاد في هدي خير العباد ٤/٢٠٥] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: ‎“The best and most virtuous of days of all for the slave is the day he repents to Allāh and Allāh accepts his repentance.” ‎[زاد المعاد (٣/٥١٢)] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله: “Supplication is a factor in repelling tribulation, thus if it is stronger than it; then it repels it. Yet if the reasons for the tribulation are stronger – it does not repel it, however it reduces it and weakens it. It is due to this that he commanded at the time of the eclipse and other signs with prayer and supplication and seeking forgiveness and giving charity and freeing slaves, and Allaah Knows best.” [Majmu’ Fataawa | Vol 8, Pg. 196] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • How to Assess the State of Your Heart? Imām Ibn al-Qayyim said, “Seek out your heart in three places: [1] When listening to the Qur’ān, [2] in the gatherings of [Allāh’s] remembrance [circles of knowledge], and [3] when [alone] in privacy, If you do not find it in these places, then ask Allāh to grant you a heart – for verily, you do not have one.” See Al-Fawā’id [p. 479] Action plan: - Read the Qur’ān for at least 20 minutes daily. - Attend at least one Islamic class per week. - Read the following supplications: يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ “O Turner of the hearts, affirm my heart upon Your religion.” اللّٰهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ قَلْبِي وَعَمَلِي “O Allāh rectify my heart and my action” Abū Ismā’īl 🖊️ @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: ‎"Whoever knows himself becomes busy with rectifying himself instead of being busy with the faults of the people & whoever knows his Lord becomes busy with Him instead of being busy with the desires of himself." ‎[al-Fawa’īd | Pg.94] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Backbiting [Ghībah] The Worst Type of Generosity Imām Ibn Taymīyyah said: "The worst type of generosity is being generous in gifting your good deeds to others due to backbiting, tale-carrying, lying, swearing and insulting [the believers]." See Majmū Fatāwa [8/303] “Do not sit among those who tear into the flesh of the absent for Allāh likens backbiting to eating the dead meat of your brother. Beware, for once they have feasted on another’s name, your name will be the next morsel in their mouth. At the first whisper of backbiting, rise and leave, shield your deeds by refusing to feed on slander.” @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • 📌 A simple breath… Ibn al-Dunya mentioned that the Prophet Dawud (alayhi salam) asked Allāh: "What is the least of your blessings?.” Allāh revealed to him, "O Dawud, take a breath." Dawud did so, and Allāh told him: "That is the least of My Blessings on you.” [Excerpt from Patience and Gratitude by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah | Pg. 70] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: "The blessings that descend upon children are due to the deeds of their parents, and the blessings that descend upon parents are due to the dua of their children." [Al Bidayah wa al Nihayah | 20/416] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • The Tree of Sincerity 🌱 Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “A year is like a tree, the months are its boughs, the days are its branches, the hours are its leaves, and its breath is its fruit. Whoever's breath used to obey Allāh, the fruit of his tree will be good and pure. Whoever's breath used to disobey Allāh, his fruit will be evil. The time of harvest is on the Day of Resurrection, and at that time the fruit will be shown, whether it is sweet or sour.” [al-Fawā’id] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: ‎”When the veil has been lifted on the day of judgement revealing the value of good deeds for the people they'll not see any action better in reward than the remembrance of Allāh (Dhikr). At that time a group of people who'll sigh because they missed out and say: There was nothing easier for us than dhikr and yet we did not do it.” [al-Waabil al-Sayyib | 11] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “If the good thoughts motivate one to do good actions, encourage an individual to do them and lead a person to them, then it is sound and good. But if these same thoughts lead a person to idleness and a devotion to sins, then it is in fact deception. Having good thoughts is also the correct method of hope. So whoever's hope attracts them to obedience and deters them from sin, then it is the correct hope. However, whoever has confused the two and made his lack of good actions to be a form of hope to the extent his hope amounts to nothing more than idleness and neglect, then he is deluded.” [The Disease & The Cure | Pg. 95] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “Each organ of the body has the duty to worship Allāh at all times, which will bring one closer to Him. If he keeps himself busy with worship, he will be close to Allāh, but if he is busy with his desires, seeking relief, or being idle, he will fail. The servant is constantly fluctuating between being close to Allāh and being far from Him.“ [al-Fawā’id | Pg. 319-20] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits

  • Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said: “O you who prefers the cemetery of sleep over the gardens of the pious, the path of joining ties with your Lord does not entail exhaustion; because exhaustion is only felt by those whose hearts still contain desires.” [Kitaab Al-Lataa’if Fil-Waa’iz | Pg. 180] @jannahfruitsofficial #jannahfruits
