We Enjoy Marital Talks More Than Deen Talks It appears that many of us enjoy marital talks more than discussions on Aqeedah and Manhaj. Once the topic is husband and wife, attention levels rise immediately. The husband is waiting for the Shaykh to mention his wife's mistakes so he can forward the lecture to her. The wife is also waiting for the Shaykh to mention the husband's shortcomings so she can send him the clip. Some are even on high alert whenever intimate marital discussions are announced. Yet, despite all the enthusiasm for marriage talks, many marriages are still struggling and failing. Why? Because the foundation is weak. A building does not stand because of paint and decoration. It stands because of its foundation. Likewise, a marriage built upon sound Aqeedah, correct Manhaj, fear of Allah, patience, and good character is more likely to survive trials. Many want the fruits of a righteous marriage without planting the roots of righteousness. The husband and wife who fear Allah will naturally strive to fulfill one another's rights. When the foundation is not learned, the structure will continue to shake. Learn the Deen. Learn Aqeedah. Learn Manhaj. Learn Taqwa. Then watch how many marital problems begin to reduce.

*It is a privilege to be asked for help. It means someone trusts your character and capabilities with their needs. It also means we should never be too ‘self reliant’ to ask for help. Even the one who spoke to Allah asked for his brother’s aid.*
