Last night Tower Hamlets councillors passed a motion on divesting pensions funds away from companies complicit in genocide. This is a follow on from the motion passed in January 2025 but requests an expedition of the process. 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

Before we get all excited, let’s remember the incoming Labour Leader and Prime Minister, Andy Burnham’s stance on Palestine won’t be much different to his predecessor

Keir Starmer has announced his resignation after less than two years as Labour leader, amid mounting pressure and an impending leadership challenge from Andy Burnham. His departure follows a period of deep unpopularity among sections of the electorate and many party members, with critics pointing in particular to his steadfast support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza as well as a series of policy reversals. These included 13 widely noted U-turns, among them changes to the winter fuel allowance for pensioners and the two-child benefit cap.
