🇪🇹 Victory of Adwa – A Symbol of African Freedom Today, we commemorate the historic Battle of Adwa (March 1, 1896) — a defining moment for Ethiopia, Africa, and Black people worldwide. Under the leadership of Menelik II and Empress Taytu Betul, Ethiopia united and defeated the Italian army led by Oreste Baratieri. At a time when much of Africa was under colonial rule, Adwa became a powerful symbol of resistance, unity, and sovereignty. It proved that freedom is worth defending and that unity is strength. Adwa inspired generations of Pan-African leaders and freedom movements. It remains a beacon of dignity, courage, and self-determination. ✨ 16 Days of Activism | A Journey That Set the Standard ✨ Our 16 Days of Activism came to a powerful close with the final program, Justice in Action marking not an ending, but a milestone. This impactful 5-day initiative was carried out through a Memorandum of Agreement between Legal issues Ethiopia Club, United Nations Association BDU chapter, BahirDar University Human Rights Club, and it stands as one of the most intentional, educational, and inspiring programs we’ve delivered. Each day brought its own energy, message, and lesson: 🔹 Threads of Resistance challenged us to confront the realities that silence justice and the courage it takes to resist them. 🔹 Rise and Reclaim transformed activism into movement reclaiming space, strength, and voice through unity and action. 🔹 Voices Unveiled deepened awareness, sparked conversation, and pushed participants to think beyond the surface. 🔹 Reels for Real change reminded us that change begins with understanding and collective responsibility. 🔹 Justice in Action brought it all together turning knowledge into purpose and commitment into action. Every session was a blast engaging, thought-provoking, and meaningful. Participants didn’t just attend; they learned, questioned, connected, and grew. The discussions were rich, the energy was alive, and the impact was real. This was more than a program. It was a standard-setter proof that when collaboration meets purpose, activism becomes transformative. Our gratitude goes to all partnering clubs, organizers, speakers, and participants who made these five days unforgettable. The lessons carry forward, the conversations continue, and the responsibility now belongs to all of us. 🕊️ Justice doesn’t end here—it begins here.

⚖️ Justice in Action | Closing & Recognition The program concluded with certification for all participants, recognizing their dedication and active engagement throughout the Moot Court competition. Outstanding performances were honored through Best Oralist awards across the Preliminary, Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final rounds. Winning teams received medals, a championship cup, and academic resources, including law journals and law books, in support of their future legal journeys. A dedicated executive was also certified in recognition of consistent leadership and commitment behind the scenes.
