Bahir Dar Institute of Technology Launches Summer Full-Stack Development and English Language Training Programs July 17, 2026 /Bahir Dar, ISC/ BiT/ The Bahir Dar Institute of Technology Career Development Center (BiT-CDC) and the BiT English Language Improvement Center (BiT-ELIC) officially launched their Summer Full-Stack Development Training and Summer English Language Training programs today at Washera Hall, BiT Campus. The opening ceremony was officiated by Dr. Amare Kassew, Bahir Dar Institute of Technology Deputy Scientific Director for Academic Affairs. In his keynote address, he highlighted Bahir Dar University's mission and vision, emphasizing the university's commitment to producing competent graduates and strengthening its community engagement through demand-driven capacity-building programs. He also encouraged participants to make the best use of the two-month training opportunity to enhance their knowledge and future career prospects. During the event, Dr. Amare Tesfie, Director of the Academic Quality Assurance and Enhancement Office, presented the major accomplishments of BiT-CDC and BiT-ELIC over the past years. He outlined the significant contributions of the two centers in enhancing students' employability and communication skills, and stressed that the current training programs are designed to equip participants with practical, industry-relevant competencies. The event was moderated by Mr. Mulat Shitye, Coordinator of the BiT Career Development Center (BiT-CDC), who welcomed participants and reaffirmed the centers' commitment to delivering high-quality, hands-on training throughout the two-month program. The Summer Full-Stack Development Training and Summer English Language Training have attracted a large number of participants and will focus on developing practical technical and communication skills that enhance academic success, innovation, and employability.
