Tāj al-Dīn al-Subkī (727–771 AH) states: “Amongst the duties of (the sulṭān’s representatives) is to repel the people of innovations and deviant beliefs, and to avert their evil from the Muslims. There is no scope for them within the religion of Allāh Most High to tolerate those who revile the two shaykhs Abū Bakr and ‘Umar, slander ‘Ā’ishah, mother of the believers, and corrupt the beliefs of the adherents of religion. Rather, it is obligatory for them to be stern with such people, in accordance with what the respective ideologies require.” (Mu‘īd al-Ni‘am [Dār al-Ḍiyā’], p.62) Read More Here: https://ahlussunnah.boards.net/thread/1101/beware-muft-jin-corrupt __ Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum Telegram Channel: https://t.me/AhlusSunnahForum Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7aLtv4Spk89JPYvj16

Imam Abu ‘l-Muzaffar al-Isfarayini (d.471 AH) said: “(From the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wa ‘l-Jama‘ah) is that you recognise that those who are practitioners of taqlid within the laws of Shari‘ah – it is necessary for them to ask. And it is not permissible for them to ask (anyone and) everyone. Had that been allowed, it would have been permitted to act based on their own mind – as there’s no difference between one person and another when the characteristics of mujtahidin are not considered in them. This is why Allah (Most Exalted) has said: ‘Ask the people of remembrance if you do not know,’ And he said: ‘Indeed this knowledge is religion, so be mindful of who you take your religion from.’ Thus it is established from this that it is necessary for the layperson – when he desires to ask – to exercise a degree of ijtihad in order to differentiate those who are qualified to know what he is being asked about and those who are not qualified; he will gain this knowledge (of who is qualified) through prolonged awareness and public knowledge.” (al-Tabsir fi ‘l-Din, p.156) Read More Here: https://ahlussunnah.boards.net/thread/1076/legitimate-illegitimate-taqlid __ Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum Telegram Channel: https://t.me/AhlusSunnahForum Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7aLtv4Spk89JPYvj16

Shaykh Habib al-Rahman al-A‘zami (1901–1992 CE), one of the major scholars of Deoband from the last century and a well-known Hadith expert, states in a 1943 CE booklet responding to an Ahl-i-Hadith figure called Abu ‘l-Qasim Saif Banirisi: “In this connection, he expressed great displeasure about a marginal note (by Wasi Ahmad Surati) on Sunan al-Nasa’i, although there is no reason for displeasure. This is because, according to his own translation, those Wahhabis were called Kharijis in the marginal note who consider killing our men and taking our women captives permissible. Therefore, if you are not of that sort, why does it bother you? And if no non-muqallid is like that today, who knows whether at the time that note was written, there was no Wahhabi of that mindset then too? Until you prove otherwise, that note cannot be called slander. Is it unknown to you that Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab al-Najdi fought Muslims and incited slaughter and bloodshed? Therefore, if at that time there were also Wahhabis of that kind in India, would that be farfetched?” (Tahqiq-i-Ahl-i-Hadith [Markaz-i-Tahqiqat wa Khidmat-i-‘Ilmiyyah], p.34) Read More Here: https://ahlussunnah.boards.net/thread/17/muhammad-wahhab-sight-deobandi-ulama __ Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum Telegram Channel: https://t.me/AhlusSunnahForum Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7aLtv4Spk89JPYvj16

Mawlana Hakim Muhammad Akhtar (1928–2013 CE) said in a talk delivered in 1999 CE: “If a person's harm extends to others, then one may inform others about his evil. For example, if someone is religiously misguided, writes misguided literature and tries to mislead the ummah, it is obligatory upon the ‘ulama’ to write against him: ‘This person is misguided; do not read his books; do not listen to his words,’ (and so on). But if an individual’s harm does not extend to others – it is limited to himself – then advise him privately. For example, if someone drinks wine, counsel him privately that it is wrong, but avoid mentioning it publicly.” (‘Ilaj al-Ghibat, p.7) Read More Here: https://ahlussunnah.boards.net/thread/558/necessity-persons-errors-deviation-din __ Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum Telegram Channel: https://t.me/AhlusSunnahForum Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7aLtv4Spk89JPYvj16

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Matin (b. 1964 CE –), one of the leading scholars of Bangladesh and author of Kifayat al-Mughtadhi (a detailed Arabic commentary on Sunan al-Tirmidhi), writes in this work in a section completed in January 2023 CE: “I say: The Imami (Twelver) sect amongst the Rafidah are outside the religion (of Islam) due to (a) their declaring the general body of the Sahabah to be disbelievers; (b) their belief in the corruption of the Qur’an,* and (c) their belief in the infallibility of their ‘imams’ in a manner that amounts to denying the finality of prophethood. “(Some) early scholars of this ummah did not declare them disbelievers only out of caution because (all) their false doctrines had not reached them. This was because this group had chosen dissimulation and concealment of their beliefs. When their doctrines became openly known to later scholars, they declared them disbelievers. Look at Mulla ‘Ali al-Qari: he came to know only of their doctrine of declaring the Sahabah disbelievers, and he declared them disbelievers on that basis. He said in Mirqat al-Mafatih, commenting on the statement of al-Nawawi: ‘because the correct, chosen position held by most is that the Kharijites, like others amongst the people of innovation, are not declared disbelievers.’ Al-Qari then said: ‘I say: This is not with respect to the Rafidah that have emerged in our time. They (i.e. the Rafidah) believe that most of the Sahabah are disbelievers – let alone all the rest of Ahl al-Sunnah wa ‘l-Jama‘ah. Hence, they are indisputably disbelievers by consensus.’” (Kifayat al-Mughtadhi [al-Mu’assasat al-‘Ilmiyyah: Bangladesh], 13:532) *The doctrine of tahrif of the Qur’an is a matter of dispute amongst Twelver Shi‘ah. However, even those who reject it (which includes most present-day Shi‘ah) generally do not deem it to be disbelief. Moreover, it is still a mainstream Twelver Shi‘i belief to reject (some of the) mutawatir readings of the Qur’an. These positions are also tantamount to disbelief. Mawlana Yusuf Ludhianwi Shahid (1932–2000 CE) states: “It is also amongst the beliefs of the Twelver Shi‘ah that the twelve imams hold a position higher than the (earlier) prophets. These beliefs are found in the books of the Twelvers. After holding such beliefs, an individual can neither be referred to as a Muslim and nor can salah be prayed behind him. Hence, it is not valid for a Muslim to pray behind someone holding Twelver beliefs – just as it isn’t valid to pray behind a non-Muslim.” (Ap kei Masa’il aur unka Hall [Maktabah Ludhianwi], 1:565) Read More Here: https://ahlussunnah.boards.net/thread/1148/verifying-muhaqqiq-scholars-shiah-disbelievers __ Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum Telegram Channel: https://t.me/AhlusSunnahForum Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7aLtv4Spk89JPYvj16

In a fatwa dated 1992 CE, Mufti Sayyid Salman Mansurpuri, a leading contemporary Deobandi mufti, writes: “The Shi‘ah generally found nowadays are Twelvers who, based on numerous reasons and holding beliefs contrary to Islam, are outside of Islam. Their disagreements with Muslims are not only in the branches of religion but also in the fundamentals. Hence, it is incorrect to consider the Shi‘ah group to be Muslims. The group that [effectively] denies the finality of prophethood [by affirming infallible imams who must be believed and followed & who receive definitive divine communications that are binding on others]; and who attack and declare takfir on Hazrat ‘A’ishah Siddiqah (Allah be pleased with her) and other prominent Sahabah (Allah be pleased with them); and regard the entire ummah to be misguided – such a group cannot be deemed Muslims.” (Kitab al-Nawazil, 2:51) He further states in a fatwa dated 2004 CE: “The Shi‘ah are a separate group comprising several sub-groups. Those that hold power in Iran nowadays are the Twelver group of Shi‘ah, who – based on their beliefs of kufr – are outside of Islam.” (ibid., 2:59) Read More Here: https://ahlussunnah.boards.net/thread/1148/verifying-muhaqqiq-scholars-shiah-disbelievers __ Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum Telegram Channel: https://t.me/AhlusSunnahForum Join the Ahlus Sunnah Forum WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7aLtv4Spk89JPYvj16

In al-Fatawa al-Rashidiyyah, in the chapter on nikah, Mawlana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi mentions both views: on Shi‘ah being disbelievers and not being disbelievers. He then states, “The slave (referring to himself) holds the first position,” meaning he holds the view that they are disbelievers. (Ta’lifat Rashidiyyah, p.383) In another fatwa, he clarifies that those earlier scholars who did not deem them to be disbelievers did so because of lack of knowledge about their beliefs.
