EFFSAA Successfully Concludes Introduction to Freight Forwarding Training The Ethiopian Freight Forwarders and Shipping Agents Association (EFFSAA) has successfully concluded its Introduction to Freight Forwarding (IFF) Training Program, held from 10–15 August 2026. The six-day, 24-hour program brought together 30 participants from EFFSAA member companies and the private sector, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical insights into the freight forwarding industry. Participants explored key areas including international trade, freight forwarding operations, transport modes, international organizations, FIATA documents, special transport services, packaging requirements, and customs procedures, and successfully completed the training by receiving Certificates of Training Completion in recognition of their participation and achievement.

The event concluded with the presentation of FIATA Diploma Certificates to all graduates, recognizing their successful completion of the internationally accredited programme. The top three performers from across the six graduating batches were honored for their outstanding academic achievements. Event sponsors were also recognized for their invaluable support and presented with Certificates of Appreciation by H.E. Dhenge Boru, State Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics. In his closing remarks, H.E. Dhenge Boru congratulated the graduates on reaching this important milestone and encouraged them to apply their knowledge and skills to advance Ethiopia's freight forwarding and logistics industry while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to continue strengthening capacity and supporting the sustainable development of the logistics sector.

The event also featured a documentary showcasing the upcoming FIATA World Congress 2027 in Addis Ababa. The documentary was presented to participants, including government officials, development partners, private sector representatives, and other key stakeholders. It highlighted the importance of collaboration across all sectors to ensure the successful delivery of this landmark global event. The documentary conveyed a strong message that, by working together, Ethiopia can host an unforgettable FIATA World Congress and demonstrate that Africa is ready and capable of organizing world-class international logistics events.

Additional Event Highlights During the ceremony, a keynote address was delivered by Ato Firaol Tafa, Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Maritime Authority, who congratulated the graduates on their achievement and encouraged them to contribute to the development of Ethiopia's logistics and freight forwarding sector. On behalf of the graduates, Ato Worku Kemma, Logistics Transformation Office Manager, delivered a remark reflecting on the learning journey and experience at EFFSAA. He commended EFFSAA for its contribution to professional development and encouraged the Association to continue its efforts in modernizing the sector and strengthening capacity-building initiatives for logistics professionals.

በኢትዮጵያ የሎጂስቲክስ ኢንዱስትሪ ውስጥ የሚታየውን የክህሎት ክፍተት የሚሞሉ 147 ዓለም አቀፍ ባለሙያዎች ተመረቁ የኢትዮጵያን የንግድ ተወዳዳሪነት ለማረጋገጥና በሎጂስቲክስ ሰንሰለቱ ውስጥ የሚታየውን የአሰራር መዘግየት በዘላቂነት ለመቅረፍ፣ በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ዕውቅና ያገኙ 147 ባለሙያዎች በዛሬው ዕለት ተመረቁ። የኢትዮጵያ ፍሬት ፎርዋርደርስ ኤንድ ሺፒንግ ኤጀንትስ ማኅበር (EFFSAA) ሲሰጠው የቆየውን የፊያታ (FIATA) ዲፕሎማ ስልጠና ያጠናቀቁት እነዚህ ባለሙያዎች፣ የሀገሪቱን የገቢና ወጪ ንግድ ቅልጥፍና ወደ ላቀ ደረጃ ያሸጋግራሉ ተብሎ ታምኖባቸዋል። በኢትዮጵያ ስካይላይት ሆቴል  በተከናወነው በዚህ የምረቃ ሥነ-ሥርዓት ላይ እንደተገለጸው፣ የሎጂስቲክስ ዘርፉን በሰለጠነ የሰው ኃይል መደገፍ አማራጭ የሌለው አገራዊ ጉዳይ ሆኗል። ማኅበሩ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ ሙሉ ለሙሉ ለዘርፉ ፍላጎት ተስማሚ ተደርጎ በተበጀ (Customized) የትሬዲንግ ካርድ፣ ተግባራዊና የላቀ ስልጠና የሰጠ መሆኑ የዘንድሮውን ምርቃት ልዩ ያደርገዋል ተብሏል። የማኅበሩ ፕሬዝዳንት ዶክተር ዳዊት ውብሸት በምረቃው ላይ ባደረጉት ንግግር፣ ማኅበሩ እስካሁን ከ495 በላይ ባለሙያዎችን ማፍራቱን አስታውሰዋል። ፕሬዝዳንቱ አክለውም፣ ዘርፉን ይበልጥ ለማዘመን የዲጂታል አሰራርንና የኦንላይን ስልጠናን ለመዘርጋት ከዓለም አቀፍ ተቋማት ጋር በትብብር እየተሰራ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል። ይህም ባለሙያዎች በማንኛውም ቦታ ሆነው እውቅና ያለው ስልጠና እንዲያገኙ ከማስቻሉም በላይ፣ ኢትዮጵያ በ2027 ለምታስተናግደው ዓለም አቀፍ የሎጂስቲክስ ኮንግረስ (FIATA World Congress) ትልቅ አቅም የሚፈጥር መሆኑን ጠቁመዋል። የኢትዮጵያ ማሪታይም ባለስልጣን ምክትል ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ፍራኦል ጣፋ በበኩላቸው፣ የሰለጠነ የሰው ኃይል ማፍራት በብሔራዊ የሎጂስቲክስ ስትራቴጂ ውስጥ እንደ ዋነኛ ግብ የተቀመጠ መሆኑን አጽንኦት ሰጥተዋል። ሀገሪቱ የውጪ ቀጥታ ኢንቨስትመንትን ለመሳብና የንግድ ፍሰቱን ለማሳለጥ በምታደርገው ጥረት፣ እንደነዚህ ያሉ በዘመናዊ እውቀት የታነጹ ባለሙያዎች መፈራታቸው ለኢንዱስትሪው ትልቅ መተማመኛ እንደሚፈጥር አስገንዝበዋል። ይህ የፊያታ ዲፕሎማ ስልጠና በዓለም አቀፍ የሎጂስቲክስ መርሆዎች፣ በዕቃዎች አያያዝ፣ በጉምሩክ ሥነ-ሥርዓቶችና በፈጣን የትራንስፖርት መፍትሄዎች ላይ ያተኮረ ነው። ሰልጣኞቹ ከተለያዩ የመንግሥት የልማት ድርጅቶች፣ ከግሉ ዘርፍና ከዓለም አቀፍ ተቋማት የተውጣጡ በመሆናቸው፣ በዘርፉ ላይ የሚታየውን የባለሙያ እጥረት በስፋት ይቀርፋል ተብሎ ይጠበቃል። በዛሬው የምረቃ ሥነ-ሥርዓት ላይ የኢትዮጵያ ባህር ትራንስፖርትና ሎጂስቲክስ አገልግሎት ዋና ሥራ አስፈፃሚ አቶ አብዱልበር ሸምሱን ጨምሮ ከፍተኛ የመንግሥት የሥራ ኃላፊዎች፣ የዘርፉ ተዋናዮችና ጥሪ የተደረገላቸው እንግዶች ተገኝተዋል። በአጠቃላይ ይህ የምረቃ መርሃ-ግብር ኢትዮጵያ በቀጣናዊና ዓለም አቀፋዊ የንግድ ትስስር ውስጥ ያላትን የመደራደር አቅም ለማሳደግና ወጪና ጊዜን የሚቆጥብ ዘመናዊ የሎጂስቲክስ ሥርዓት ለመገንባት ለሚደረገው ጉዞ ወሳኝ ምዕራፍ መሆኑ ተመልክቷል።    ልዑል ወልዴ    ሐምሌ 07/2018 ዓ.ም
