Reminder! 🌟 Hasten to Goodness, Make Up Missed Fast Days 🌟 If you have any missed days from Ramadan, that you have not made up for yet, make them up as soon as possible! 🌙 Ramadan is a mere few days away, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم forbade fasting a couple of days before Ramadan (except for the one who owes days). But generally it is disliked, therefore the fasts should be completed quickly! Allah tells us in Surat al-Baqarah verse 148 (interpretation of the meaning): "Hasten to goodness." This is a general rule for all forms and acts of goodness and devotion that brings us closer to Allah. So if for whatever reason, you missed some days of fasting in Ramadan due to valid reasons, such as a woman during her menses or someone travelling, it’s optimal to make them up during the month of Shawwal right after Eid. 🌟 This is the closest to Ramadan and it is the closest to Allah’s command of hastening to goodness. However, if there’s a legitimate reason, you are allowed to postpone them. Just as prayer is best offered immediately when the time comes, there is leniency for it to be offered and delayed if there is a valid excuse until the next prayer time enters, so too can your make-up fasts. While there is flexibility, it’s always best to rush towards goodness as fast as we can, as the Quran instructed. Our mother Ayesha رضي الله عنها , was reported to have delayed her fasts until the month of Sha’baan, as a respect and honour to the Prophet’s desires and wishes صلى الله عليه وسلم and fulfilling her duties as a wife. Whether the fasts of Ayesha, may Allah be pleased with her, were voluntary or obligatory is not explicitly mentioned in the report. However, if it was a voluntary fast it’d be permissible to break the fast without reason. So she would be able to fulfil her obligations as a wife. Therefore, there’d be no reason for her to delay her fasts for the Prophet. The voluntary fasts differ in ruling to the obligatory fasts. You can start it and end it as you need. There is no early pre intention needed for it, only from the time you intend it (provided you haven’t eaten), and you can end it (if you do not want to complete it for whatever reason). On one occasion the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asked his wife Ayesha if there was any food in the house, when she said no, he said, “Then I am fasting.” As for obligatory fasts (including make-up obligatory fasts), they cannot be broken until there is a legitimate Shari’ excuse like sickness or menses. You are not permitted to break it generally. Whether your fasts are obligatory or voluntary, embracing the spirit of hastening to goodness is something everyone should strive for. 💨 So, aim to complete any fasting obligations soon and take every chance to draw nearer to Allah through these acts of devotion, preparing for the blessed month of Ramadan soon upon us 🌼 The truly virtuous seize every opportunity for good. As Shawwal arrives, they eagerly make up missed fasts and continue with voluntary fasts throughout the year! ✨ — Shaykh Musa Jibril حفظه الله https://t.me/LightOfTheTruth

Morning and evening adhkaar with Dhivehi translation 🪴
Love for Your Brother What You Love for Yourself A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, reported: “They slaughtered a sheep and gave in charity from it. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: ‘What remains of it?’ A’ishah said, ‘Nothing remains but its shoulder (i.e., it was all distributed except for the shoulder which remained).’ The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, ‘On the contrary, all of it remains except the shoulder.’” — [ al-Tirmidhi ] See the bounty of Allah which he bestowed upon people. Charity is all about perspective and intention. Some view it as a loss, they are the real losers. Whilst others are blessed with the foresight of it being the ultimate investment, always yielding returns. Allah promised to reward and multiply the charity given for His sake, and your Lord never breaks His promises. — Shaykh Musa Jibril حفظه الله https://t.me/LightOfTheTruth

🔔Islamic tarbiyyah Islamic tarbiyyah is extremely important and should not be neglected. It should be a conscious effort. Raising your children upon tawheed and teaching them about the oneness of Allāh and worshipping Him alone is what will raise a Muslim. Without tawheed your children will not have any Islām. @Lightttofguidance

🎀Dua Request for a sister in Deen who is undergoing a surgery. ✨Ya Allah, You are Ash-Shafi (The Healer). We ask You to place shifa in her body, mind, and soul. Replace her hardship with ease and her pain with relief. Grant her and her loved ones patience and tranquility during this time. Make her surgery successful and her recovery smooth, and let this trial be a means of expiation for her sins and an increase in her closeness to You. O Allah, grant her steadfastness in her faith and allow her to emerge from this experience stronger in her Deen. Place barakah in her health, her life, and her journey toward You. Ameen. ✨ Please remember her in your duas, especially during times when duas are more likely to be accepted.
