To seek Allah’s protection from black magic, recite Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas three times each in the morning and evening. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge from the jinn and the evil eye. When Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas were revealed, he began reciting them and left the other supplications. [Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi] ‘Aishah رضي الله عنها reported that when the Prophet ﷺ went to bed each night, he would cup his hands together, blow into them, and recite Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas. Then, he would wipe his hands over as much of his body as he could, beginning with his head, face, and the front of his body. He would repeat this three times. When he became seriously ill, ‘Aishah رضي الله عنها would recite these Surahs and wipe his hands over his body, seeking their blessings. [Sahih al-Bukhari]

The Messenger (Muhammad SAW) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), “We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers” and they say, “We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all).” (285) Allâh burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. “Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maulâ (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people.” بَسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ”قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ ۞ اللهُ الصَّمَدُ ۞ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ۞ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ” Qul huwal-laahu aHadal-laahuS Samad lam yalid walam yuulad walam yakul-lahu kufuwan aHad With the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah (the) One. The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He begets not nor was He begotten, and there is none co-equal to Him. بَسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ”قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ۞ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ۞ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ۞ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ۞ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ” Qul ‘Aūdhu Birabbi Al-Falaqi Min Sharri Mā Khalaqa Wa Min Sharri Ghāsiqin ‘Idhā Waqaba Wa Min Sharri An-Naffāthāti Fī Al-Uqadi Wa Min Sharri Ĥāsidin ‘Idhā Ĥasada With the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, and from the evil of the darkening (night) as it comes with its darkness, and from the evil of those who practice witchcraft when they blow in the knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies. بَسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ”قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ۞ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ۞ إِلَهِ النَّاسِ ۞ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ۞الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ۞ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ”. Qul ‘A`ūdhu Birabbi An-Nāsi Maliki An-Nāsi ‘Ilahi An-Nāsi Min Sharri Al-Waswāsi Al-Khannāsi Al-Ladhī Yuwaswisu Fī Şudūri An-Nāsi Mina Al-Jinnati Wa An-Nāsi With the Name of Allah , the Most Gracious , the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind , the God of mankind , from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws, who whispers in the breasts of mankind, of jinns and men. (Recite these three times each in Arabic). Narrated Saad: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “Whoever takes seven ‘Ajwa dates in the morning will not be effected by magic or poison on that day.” Sahih Muslim, Volume 7, Book 71, Number 671: Narrated Sa’d: The Prophet said, “If somebody takes some ‘Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be effected by poison or magic on that day till night.” (Another narrator said seven dates). (Sahih Bukhari) ‘Aisha reported Allah’s Messenger as saying, “The ‘ajwah dates of al-‘Aliya taken as the first thing in the morning, in the state of fasting; contain healing for all (kinds of) magic or toxins.” (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 23592)

(O Allah! Correct for me my faith, which is the guard of my affairs, make better my world where I have my livelihood, set right my hereafter where I have to return ultimately, make my life long, in every type of virtue, and make my death a comfort against all evils. سبحان الله وبحمده عدد خلقه, ورضا نفسه, وزنة عرشه, ومداد كلماته “Subhanal lahi wa bi ham-di-hi ada-da Khal-qihi wa rida’a naf-sihi wa zina-ta ‘ar-shi-hi wa mida-da Kale-mate-hi.”(Glory be to Allah and praise is due to Him, according to the number of His creation and according to His pleasure and corresponding to the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink [used in recording] His words). (thrice) لا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدِيْرٌ(مَائَةَ مَرَّة Abu Hurayrah (R.A) reported that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said: ‘Whoever says: Lā ‘Ilāha ‘Illāl-Lāhu Waĥdahu Lā Sharīka Lah, Lahul-Mulku Wa Lahul-Ĥamd, Wa Huwa `Alá KulliShay’in Qadīr. (one hundred times) ‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.’ …a hundred times during the day, has the reward of freeing ten slaves, a hundred good deeds are recorded for him and a hundred bad deeds are wiped away and he has gained refuge from the devil that day until evening and none shall come with anything better except someone who has done more.’ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيم ِ “اللهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ Allahu la ilaha illa Huwa, Al-Haiyul-Qaiyum La ta’khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm, lahu man fis-samawati wa ma fil-’ard Man dhal-ladhi yashfa’u ‘indahu illa bi-idhnihi Ya’lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahum, wa la yuhituna bi shai’im-min ‘ilmihi illa bima sha’a Wasi’a kursiyuhus-samawati wal ard, wa la ya’uduhu hifdhuhuma Wa Huwal ‘Aliyul-Adheem I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursî[] extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. بَسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ءامن الرسول بمآأنزل إليه من ربه والمؤمنون كل ءامن بالله وملائكته وكتبه ورسله لانفرق بين أحد من رسله وقالوا سمعنا وأطعنا غفرانك ربنا وإليك المصير*لايكلف الله نفساإلاوسعها لهاماكسبت وعليها مااكتسبت ربنا لا تؤاخذنآ إن نسينآ أو أخطأنا ربنا ولاتحمل عليناإصرا كما حملته على الذين من قبلنا ربنا ولاتحملنا مالا طاقة لنا به واعف عنا واغفرلنا وارحمنآ أنت مولانا فانصرنا على القوم الكافرين Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-RaheemAmanar-rasulu bima unzila ilayhi min rabbihi wal-muminunKullun amana billahi wa mala ikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihLa nufarriqu bayna ahadin min rusulihWa qalu sami’na wa a-ta’na ghufranaka rabbana wa ilaykal masirLa yukallifullahu nafsan illa wus’ahaLaha ma kasabat wa alayha maktasabatRabbana la tu akhidhna in nasina au akhta’naRabbana wa la tahmil alayna isran kamaHamaltahu alalladhina min qablinaRabbana wa la tuhammilna ma la taqata lanabihWa’fu anna, waghfir lana, warhamnaAnta maulana fansurna alal-qaumil-kafirin

‘O Allah, I take refuge in You lest I should commit shirk with You knowingly and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do unknowingly.’ أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات التي لا يجاوزهن بر ولا فاجر من شر ما خلق، وبرأ وذرأ، ومن شر ما ينزل من السماء ومن شر ما يعرج فيها، ومن شر ما ذرأ في الأرض ومن شر ما يخرج منها، ومن شر فتن الليل والنهار، ومن شر كل طارق إلا طارقا يطرق بخير يا رحمن. ‘Aūdhu Bikalimātil-Lāhit-Tāmmātil-Latī Lā Yujāwizuhunna Barrun Wa Lā Fājirun Min Shsharri MāKhalaq, Wa Bara’a Wa Dhara’, Wa Min Sharri Mā Yanzilu Minas-Samā‘i Wa Min Sharri Mā Yaruju Fīhā, Wa Min Sharri Mā Dhara’a Fīl-’Arđi Wa Min Sharri Mā Yakhruju Minhā, Wa Min Sharri Fitanil-Layli Wan-Nahār, Wa Min Sharri Kulli Ţāriqin ‘Illā Ţāriqan Yaţruqu Bikhayrin Yā Raĥman. ‘I take refuge within Allah’s perfect words which no righteous or unrighteous person can transgress, from all the evil that He has created, made and originated. (I take refuge) from the evil that descends from the sky and the evil that rises up to it. (I take refuge) from the evil that is spread on Earth and the evil that springs from her, and I take refuge from the evil of the tribulations of night and day, and the evil of one who visits at night except the one who brings good, O Merciful One.’ اللهم انت ربي لا اله الا انت عليك توكلت وانت رب العرش العظيم, ما شاء الله كان ومالم يشأ لم يكن, ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله العلي العظيم, اعلم ان الله على كل شىء قدير, وان الله قد احاط بكل شيء علما, اللهم اني اعوذ بك من شر نفسي, ومن شر كل دابة انت آخذ بناصيتها, ان ربي على صراط مستقيم ‘Allah-humma, anta rabbi, laa ilaaha illaa Anta, ‘alaika tawakkaltu wa anta rabbul ‘arshil kareem maashaa Allahu kaana wa maLam yasha’ lam yakun-wa laa hawla wa lla quwwata illaa bil-Laahil A’liyyil ‘Atheem. A’lamu annallaaha ‘alaa kulli shay in qadiyrun-wa annallaaha qad ahaata bikulli shay in ilmaa. Allah-humma inni a’uthu bika min sharri nafsiy wa min sharri kulli daabbatin ants aakhithum bi naasiyatihaa inna rabiy ‘alaa siraatim mustaqiym.’ (Oh Allah, You are my Lord. There is nothing worthy of worship except You. I place all of my trust and reliance in You and You are the Lord of the Noble Throne. Whatever Allah wishes takes place, and whatever He does not desire, does not occur, and there is no power and no strength except in Allah, The Exalted, The Mighty. I know that Allah is Powerful over all things and that Allah has knowledge of all things. Oh Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my nafs (self) and from the evil of every crawling creature. You are master over them. Verily, You are Lord of the Straight Path.) اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتَ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِر لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ Alahumma anta rebi la ilaha ila ant, khalacktanee, waana abduk, wa ana ala ahdick wa wahdick mstata-ht, authu bika min shree ma sana-ht, aboouh laka bi ni’mateeka aley, wa aboouh bi thenbee faghfirlee fa inawho la yeghfr uthunooba illa ant.’ (O Allah, You are my Lord. None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave. I am faithful in my covenant and my promise (to You) as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.) اللهم اصلح لي ديني الذي هو عصمة امري, واصلح لي دنياي التي فيها معاشي, واصلح لي اخرتي التي فيها معادي, واجعل الحياة زيادة لي في كل خير, واجعل الموت راحة لي من كل شر ‘Allahumma ashlehlee deeni al lathee huwa ‘ismato amree wa asleh lee dunya ya allati feeha ma’ashi wa asleh lee aakhiratee allati feeha ma’adi waj al hayata zeeya-datal-li fee kullee khairan Waj-al mawta ra hatan lee min kullee sharree.’

O Allah, You are The First so there is nothing before You and You are The Last so there is nothing after You. You are Aththahir so there is nothing above You and You are Al-Batin so there is nothing closer than Tawrah: The book revealed to Moosa Injeel: The book revealed to Easa Furqan: One of the many names of the Quran, means: The Criterion which distinguishes between truth and falsehood. Aththahir: Indicates the greatness of His attributes and the insignificance of every single creation in respect to His greatness and Highness, for He is above all of His creation as regards His essence and attributes. Al-Batin: Indicates His awareness and knowledge of all secrets, of that which is in the hearts and the most intimate of things just as it indicates His closeness and nearness to all in a manner which befits His majesty. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ, ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ, ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ, نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ, أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اِسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ, سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ, أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِي كِتَابِكَ، أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ, أَوِ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ, أَنْ تَجْعَلَ القُرْآنَ رَبِيْعَ قَلْبِي، وَنُوْرَ صَدْرِي, وَجَلَاءَ حُزْنِي, وَذَهَابَ هَمِّي. Al-Lahumma ‘Innī Abduk, ‘Ibnu Abdik, ‘Ibnu ‘Amatik, Nāşiyatī Biyadik, Māđin Fīya Ĥukmuk, Adlun Fīya Qađā’uuk, ‘As’aluka Bikullis-Min Huwa Lak, Sammayta Bihi Nafsak, ‘Aw ‘Anzaltahu Fī Kitābik, ‘Aw Allamtahu ‘Aĥadan Min Khalqik, ‘Awis-Ta’tharta Bihi Fī Ilmil-Ghaybi Indak, ‘An Tajalal-Qur’āna Rabīa Qalbī, Wa Nūra Şadrī, Wa Jalā’a Ĥuznī, Wa Dhahāba Hammī. ‘O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant, my forelock is in Your hand (i.e. You have total mastery over), Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.’ اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ. Al-Lahumma Raĥmataka ‘Arjū Falā Takilnī ‘Ilá Nafsī Ţarfata Ayn, Wa ‘Aşliĥ Lī Sha’nī Kullahu Lā ‘Ilāha ‘Illā ‘Ant. ‘O Allah, it is Your mercy that I hope for, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for a blink of an eye and rectify for me all of my affairs.None has the right to be worshipped except You.’ هُوَ الأَوَّلُ وَالآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالبَاطِنُ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ عَلِيْمٌ He should also recite the following verse: (huwal-’Awwalu Wal-’Ākhiru Waž-Žāhiru Wal-Bāţinu Wa Huwa Bikulli Shay’in Alīm). ‘He is The First and The Last, Aththahir and Al-Batin and He knows well all things.’ Aththahir: Indicates the greatness of His attributes and the insignificance of every single creation in respect to His greatness and Highness, for He is above all of His creation as regards His essence and attributes. Al-Lahumma Lā Sahla ‘Illā Mā Jaaltahu Sahlā, Wa ‘Anta Tajalul-Ĥazana ‘Idhā Shi’ta Sahlā. ‘O Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficulty, if You wish, easy.’ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوْذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لا أَعْلَمُ. Al-Lahumma ‘Innī ‘Aūdhu Bika ‘An ‘Ushrika Bika Wa ‘Anā ‘Alam, Wa ‘Astaghfiruka Limā Lā ‘A`lam.

When we mention athkar as a means of protection we have so many asking what it is. It's sad that our ummah doesn't know how to protect itself from the evils of the unseen. ATHKAR- COMBATING AGAINST SIHR, EVIL EYE AND JINN. One of the greatest means of protecting and combating oneself against the evil effects of witchcraft ,evil eye/envy and jinn is to persist in regularly reciting the Adhkaar .They prevent against witchcraft ,evil eye/envy and jinn possession before it happens, protecting one against it and warding off its evil, and remedying it if it does happen. Those who have tried these supplications prayers for refuge on a regular basis morning and evening know their value and benefit and how a great need there is for them. أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق “A‘udhu bi kalimat Allaah al-taammaat min sharri ma khalaq “I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.” Say in the morning and in the evening (thrice): أعوذ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِن كُلِّ شَيطَانٍ وَهَامَّة ، وَمِن كُلِّ عَينٍ لَامَّة A’udhu bi kalimaat-Allaah il-taammah min kulli shaytaanin wa haammah wa min kulli ‘aynin laammah I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and poisonous reptile, and from every envious evil eye. (thrice): أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من غضبه وعقابه، وشر عباده ومن همزات الشياطين وأن يحضرون. ‘Aūdhu Bikalimātil-Lāhit-Tāmmāti Min Ghađabihi Wa Iqābih, Wa Sharri Ibādihi Wa Min Hamazātish-Shayāţīni Wa ‘An Yaĥđurūn. COMMON BUT PROHIBITED METHODS OF 'PROTECTION' FROM EVIL EYE... Some prevalent ways used for prevention from (and/or treatment for) the affliction from ‘The Evil Eye’ – The ways which are PROHIBITED in Islam, we are not promoting these, just making you aware. There are many other ways prevalent in Muslim societies which are used for prevention from and treatment for the affliction from ‘The Evil Eye’. Here we are talking of those ways which are based on regional or cultural traditions, inspired & adopted from other religions of the region and involve superstitious thought process. These have no authentication from Islamic principles and hence, prohibited in Islam. These are as follows: 1. Wearing ‘Amulets’ - Amulet is a string (with or without beads etc.) which people hang around their necks or tie around their arms with a belief that doing so shall protect them from some evils (it is known as ‘taweez’ in urdu and hindi). This act is not authenticated by Sunnah. Refer to following hadith: Narrated Uqbah (bin Aamir Al-Juhaini): Once a group (of ten people) came to the Prophet (PBUH). The Prophet (PBUH) accepted the pledge of allegiance (the Bai’ah) of nine of them and stopped his hand from the tenth. They asked, “O Allah’s Messenger (PBUH)! You accepted pledge of the nine, and left the tenth one?” He replied, “He is wearing an amulet (a taweez).” Hearing this, the man took off his amulet and broke it into pieces. The Prophet (PBUH) accepted his pledge also, and said, “Whoever wears an amulet, commits ‘Shirk’.” (Hadith No. 17558, Musnad Shamiyeen, Musnad Ahmad Humbal, Vol. 7). Sadly and surprisingly, a vast majority, particularly in Indian sub-continent, can be seen wearing amulets. They wear it thinking that this shall bring some lady luck to them or prevent them from ‘The Evil Eye’ or ward-off evil in other forms from them. Poor they, for they do not know that instead of doing anything good for them, the act is rather involving them in ‘Shirk’. Be aware that wearing amulets is an act of ‘Shirk’. It should be abandoned completely, with immediate effect. 2. ‘Nazar torhna’ by red chillies, by stone, by burning of a cloth, by keeping some pulses and oil in open in a public area etc. We see these methods being followed very often; We can confidently talk about these being followed in Indian sub-continent societies. These methods involve that a handful of dried red chillies or a piece of cotton cloth being taken; this is revolved seven times around the body of the afflicted person, some parts of the body are being touched by these things and then the chillies or the cloth is burned. As per the wrongly held belief, if the burned matter does not give any smell or does not cause the persons around cough or irritation, it means that the afflicted person is being cured. Another prevalent method is that some pulses and mustard oil is kept in a plate, the plate is taken around the body of afflicted person seven times, and the plate is kept somewhere out of the house in a public area. The wrongly held belief is that by doing so, the affliction is taken away from the first person and is transferred to the others whoever comes across this matter in public. I'm sure youve all probably heard of more methods than this! Dear brothers and sisters, all these methods find no existence in Islam. Introduction of all such malpractices in Muslim societies is a direct influence of Hindu culture and traditions which has a vast following in Indian sub-continent. As a Muslim we should understand that all these are prohibited in Islam. Some of these constitute sin as grave as ‘Shirk’. We should abandon all such practices with immediate effect, and seek Allah’s mercy for previous misdoings.

Q: Can jinn really possess humans? A: Yes, it is proven that the jinn can possess humans and harm them. Allah says concerning those who deal in riba (interpretation of the meaning): “Those who eat Riba will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaytaan (Satan) leading him to insanity” (Al-Baqarah 2:275) i.e., when they rise from their graves at the Resurrection, they will only stand like one who has been possessed by the jinn because the belly of the one who deals in riba – Allah forbid – will be huge, so when he wants to stand up he will fall down, and every time he wants to stand up he will fall down and be exposed before all people, so he is likened to the possessed man who has been overcome by the jinn and devils. This indicates that the jinn can possess humans, which is something that is proven and well known from visible experience. The jinn can enter humans and possess them, causing them to go insane, either because the human has harmed them and they want to take revenge on him, or because they are toying with him, or for some other purpose that they are seeking. To sum up: it is proven that the jinn can harm humans by possessing them, and this is indicated by the Qur’aan and by visible experience that no one can deny but one who is ignorant. The best means of dealing with that is reciting Qur’aan over the one who is affected, and treating him with ruqyah that contains du’aa’s narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and what he is suffering will disappear, in sha Allah.

ZAMZAM WATER Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "Zamzam water is the best, freshest, most beneficial, most beloved and most precious water there is. Further, Zamzam water was dug up by Jibril and the source that Prophet Ismail (Alayhis-salām) drank from. In the Sahihain it is narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to Abu Tharr, who remained at the Ka'bah for forty days without food ˹or drink˺ living on Zamzam water: It is a nutritious food. Muslim added that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: And a cure from ailment. Furthermore, Ibn Majah narrated that Jabir bin Abdullah related that he said: from the Prophet (ﷺ): Zamzam water is for whatever was intended behind drinking it. ... Many other people and I have tried drinking from Zamzam water for the purpose of being cured from various illnesses, and by the will of ALLĀH, I was indeed cured from several illnesses." 📚 Healing With The Medcine of The Prophet (pp. 407-408)

*THE EVIL EFFECTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA* It's time we Muslims realize that our personal lives must be protected. It only leads to unnecessary tensions. There can be so many problems in your life due to the fact that you made your personal life open for public to see and comment. You don't realize how many people watch and follow you without your knowledge. People compete for a larger friend list and get so much involved in social media.People want to get as many thumbs ups or likes as possible. They commit mujahara, which means 'making your sin public'. When Allah protects and conceals your sins, YOU make it public. The movies you watch, the music you listen to, the parties you attend (where Haram activities are taking place), sometimes even when you don't share your Haram activities, someone else tags you in the loop and you are shamed by your own friends. If you always share the Haram activities that you are doing, you may inspire the younger generation to copy you. So their sin will be counted as yours too. Many people nowadays say, it's between them and Allah and nobody should correct them. But this isn't what Islam preaches. You should strive to follow all the instructions in the Quran and Hadeeth. If you fall short, Allah will forgive. When you know a certain act us a sin, you can't do that saying Allah will forgive. His forgiveness is what we all seek. But that should not inspire you to openly flout the rules with the hope of His mecy. By showing off, you are inviting jealousy and the envy of your own relatives and friends. People often grumble and say why they aren't at peace, or why their business isn't doing well, or why their son or daughter isn't getting a job or getting married. It may be due to the envy of people who cast an evil eye on your comfortable life. If our society realizes this as a social evil, it will become more productive in terms of Deen and Duniya. Use it to promote Islam, not to invite troubles in your lives in both the worlds.

@Islam 💖 #Sidr from the noble Quran and the Sunnah 💕 #السدر من القرآن الكريم والسنة الشريفة 💕 SIDR is mentioned 4 times in the #Quran: 1. Chapter 34, verse no 16. 2. Chapter 56, verse no 27 to 33. 3. Chapter 53, verse no 7 to 12. 4. Chapter 53, verse no 16-17. It is mentioned as an Earth tree. Also in one reference it is called as Paradise tree. Sidr is mentioned in the #sunnah in numerous ahaadeeth. It was used at the time of the Prophet ﷺ as a soap and shampoo in different situations: 1. Wash hair and body (but not for ghusl: pure water without soap) 2. Ghusl for entering the religion of Islaam 3. Wash the dead before burial. "Wash him with water and Sidr and shroud him in his two cloths". 4. Remove effects of magic/envy. (Not a sunnah from the Prophet ﷺ but some scholars have mentioned using it as a cure) #SCIENTIFIC BENEFITS OF SIDR (BER): 1. It removes dandruff, lice, swelling of eyes. (wash the scalp and hair with its water) means boil Sidr in little water for 10 minutes, than filter it and apply the water or wash the scalp and hair. 2. Good for abscess, furuncles, obesity. 3. It is rich in calcium, protein, iron, magnesium etc. 4. Increases appetite and digestion, reduces cough. 5. It is nourishing and energetic. 6. It has all nutritive values. #When and how to use Sidr #متى وكيف يستخدم السدر 1. “It is Mashru` (Islamically prescribed) for anyone who wants to embrace Islam to first say Shahadah then perform Ghusl. This is according to many Hadees. It was narrated by Qais Ibn Asim that when he wanted to embrace Islam, the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to perform Ghusl using water and Sidr & also to give bath to dead body with it, because it has Natural cleansing agent like soap (Contains saponins, tannins, anti-bacterial agents and alkaloids). 2. Sidr for washing the dead body: Add one cup of sidr powder to a bucket of water. Make it frothy with your fingers before using. 3. Sidr for hair and body: Add 1 tablespoon of powdered sidr to approximately 1 cup of warm water. Mix it vigorously with your fingers to make it frothy and like soap suds. Wash your hair with it, leave on for a few minutes while washing the rest of your body, then rinse out completely.

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته Steps to Protect Yourself from Magic, Evil Eye, Shayateen, and Jinn 1. Stay Firm on Your Deen • Pray the five daily prayers consistently. • Purify yourself properly after using the restroom, as negligence in this matter is one of the causes of harm from jinn. 2. Maintain a Pure Home • Remove pictures and images of living beings from the house. • Keep the home clean and filled with dhikr (remembrance of Allah). 3. Before Sleeping • Wudhu: Perform wudhu before going to bed. Whoever does so, Allah appoints an angel between him and his garment. • Ayat al-Kursi: Recite it before sleeping. Whoever recites it, Allah protects him from Shaytan until he wakes, and Allah places an angel in his room. Ayat al-Kursi (2:255) اللَّهُ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ (Translation: Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth… and He is the Most High, the Most Great.) 4. Daily Adhkar (Supplications) Entering the House بسم الله ولجنا، وبسم الله خرجنا، وعلى الله ربنا توكلنا Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa ʿalallahi rabbina tawakkalna (In the name of Allah we enter, in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we rely.) Leaving the House بسم الله، توكلت على الله، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله Bismillahi, tawakkaltu ʿalallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no power nor might except through Allah.) Entering the Bathroom بسم الله، اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث Bismillah, Allahumma inni aʿudhu bika minal-khubthi wal-khabaʾith (In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil and the male and female jinn.) Leaving the Bathroom غفرانك Ghufranak (I seek Your forgiveness.) 5. Ruqyah and Yaqeen • Perform ruqyah on yourself by reciting Qur’an (especially Surat al-Fatihah, Ayat al-Kursi, and the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah, along with al-Muʿawwidhat: al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq, an-Nas). • True protection and healing comes when you place full yaqeen (certainty) in Allah and in the words of Allah.

This is sidr. The jinn got frightened when it heard me just only mentioned the word SIDR!! If a person is affected by magic, then some of the scholars such as Shaikh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah) have mentioned a beneficial and proven divine remedy (ruqyah), as follows: Take seven green leaves of the lote tree (sidr) and grind them with a rock or something similar. Place this in a bowl and pour water over it, sufficient enough to take a bath from, then recite over it the following verses from the Qur’aan: Soorah al-Baqarah 2:255; Soorah al-Kaafiroon: 109; Soorah al- Ikhlaas: 112; Soorah al-Falaq: 113; Soorah an-Naas: 114; The verses related to magic in Soorah al-A’raaf 7:117-119; Soorah Yoonus 10:79-82; Soorah Taa Haa 20:65-69. After this one should takes three sips from the vessel and make ghusl from the remainder.
