  • “Ever remember, ruler of men, That fortune lies in the hero's life; A nobler man shall never live Beneath the sun than Sigurth shall seem”. ~Grípisspá 53, Bellows Painting: Sigurd Slaying Fafnir by Arthur Rackham, 1901. 𐘾 “Því skal hugga þik, hers oddviti, sú mun gift lagið á grams ævi: Mun-at mætri maðr á mold koma und sólar sjöt, en þú, Sigurðr, þykkir.”

  • This is an interesting discussion. I agree I think Evola is just a stepping stone and not to be accepted as the ultimate in philosophy or Pagan / Indo-European metaphysics. He is a good stepping stone. Regarding the Buddhist vs Platonic statements I'll say the following. Sometimes the Platonic guys use a lot of BS jargon that only works with their world view and is overtly complex for no reason. Their absolutely is heriarchy in Buddhism. Heriarchy within the realms of existence and even Heriarchy going outside the realms up to Purelands and even eventually Nirvana. But in a full nondualist Tantra the heriarchy sort of fades into interconnectedness with Dharmakāya and Śūnyatā. This all becomes a bit indepth and isnt for the non practitioner. The difference between some Platonism and Buddhism interdependence. Whereby in some Platonic views existence is only because of God / the One. One thing Buddhism doesn't really have is a requirement for God or the "demiurge" to create matter for matter to exist. Matter or nonmatter exists whether or not our realm were formed. But they are formed because it exists yet it is formless in nature and origins. In my opinion the majority of the cosmogenisis / cosmology and metaphysics presented in Buddhism reflects the Rig Veda and the Eddas.

Lughnasadh Day (August 1st)- The feast of the god Lugh which was introduced by Lugh to commemorate his foster mother Tailtu. It is one of the four major Celtic festivals and is an agrarian feast in honour of the harvesting of crops. Early records claim the festival was celebrated for 15 days. Christianity took his feast over as Lammas, the feast of the first fruits. The name survives in modern Irish (Lunasa), and Manx (Luanistyn) for the name of the month of August.

“Thurs is the torment of women, and the dweller in the rocks, and the husband of Vardh-rúna. Saturn “ruler of the thing”.” ~Icelandic Rune Poem This stanza compares the jötnar, and by extension Ymir, to Saturn, similarly deposed by his son, the king of the Gods. ᚦ “Þurs er kvenna kvöl  ok kletta búi ok varðrúnar verr. • I have a lot of books and I never get around to reading them completely. So I have changed tactics. Stopped treating everyone as a guru presenting me a full system and started to skim and take what works and praise what works and disregard what doesn't or acknowledge it and add the info to my tool box and move on. But since I do write books I do have to be aware of different influences and acknowledge those influences. But I no longer feel the need to act as if just using a part of another author, creators, or teacher's works means I must fully align with everything they said or did.

  • https://youtu.be/5qA5zeDI0D4 This is a review of 3 books by Swain Wodening. Some say that he or his brother converted to Catholicism or Protestantism. That's a shame if so. Doesn't mean his books aren't still worthy of reading and use. Just like when Christians of the past were able to transcribe Eddic lore, the truth shines through regardless of their personal shortcomings.
