“There is no god but You.” What words could ever contain the weight of these words? “There is no god but You.” Even theology struggled beneath their burden, and every tongue fell short. “There is no god but You.” The Companions of our master, the Messenger, lived in its glory and died upon it. “There is no god but You.” My provision here, my treasure in the Hereafter, when my bones have turned to dust. “There is no god but You.” They will avail me on the Day when neither blame nor regret will be of any use. “There is no god but You.” Let these be our final words. Place them upon our lips when our dying breaths begin to falter. @l_wathaiq
I come with empty hands, And a heart heavy with shame. My sins are many, My deeds are few. Had You dealt with me as I deserve, I would have been left with nothing but ruin. So I stand at Your door As the bankrupt stands, As the broken stands, As the sinner stands... Because every path is closed but Yours. With nothing to offer But tears, hope, and need. O my Lord, I have wronged myself. So forgive me, my Lord. Forgive me with a forgiveness That erases all my sins. @l_wathaiq
The Salaf lived with the certainty that this worldly life is fleeting; its journey is short, but its destination is eternal. That is why they prepared more for the Hereafter than for this world. @l_wathaiq
Our crisis is not merely that our enemies possess strength. Our deeper crisis is that we have neglected many of the causes of strength that once belonged to us. We desire lofty outcomes while neglecting the patient labour that produces them. We celebrate slogans while overlooking substance. We become captivated by names while neglecting realities. The earlier generations of this Ummah did not become leaders through wishful thinking. They became leaders because they cultivated knowledge, character, sacrifice, discipline, and sincerity over many years. Whoever seeks their station must also walk their path. There is no shortcut to honour. Sheikh Abu Qatada @l_wathaiq
The heart wanders in emptiness until it remembers its Creator, for that is what it was created for. @l_wathaiq

A sincere friend is not the one who always agrees with you, but the one who fears Allah enough to advise you with the truth. In a time when many follow personalities, groups, or loyalties over good companionship, never take such a friend for granted. They are among Allah's greatest blessings. @l_wathaiq
The chiefs of Quraysh captured him, They lit a fire until the coals glowed red. Then they stripped him and threw him onto the burning embers. A man stood on his chest so he could not move. His own flesh melted upon the coals until it extinguished the fire. They demanded that he abandon Islam. He refused. Years later, Khabbab uncovered his back. It was covered with scars. He said: "They made a fire for me, then dragged me over it, and nothing put it out except the fat that melted from my back." Yet he never abandoned his faith. رضي الله عنه @l_wathaiq
They laid Bilal ibn Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him) on the burning ground beneath the heat of Makkah. Then they placed a heavy stone upon his chest, hoping he would abandon his faith. They threatened him, tortured him, and demanded that he renounce Allah. Bilal kept saying "Aḥad... Aḥad." "One God....One God" He then said: "By Allah, if I knew of any word more enraging to you than this, I would say it." Then he continued: "Aḥad... Aḥad." "One God....One God" رضي الله عنه @l_wathaiq
The blood of the martyrs is not forgotten. The cries of the oppressed are not unheard. The Banner of Tawḥid still flies And the hope of Sham still lives. @l_wathaiq
Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.[Surah Al-Aḥzāb: 56] @l_wathaiq
Syria taught us never to measure tomorrow by today's pain. What once seemed impossible became reality by the will of Allah. As hope dawned over Damascus, we pray that Bayt al-Maqdis will one day witness a similar opening. Our hope today is greater than yesterday. @l_wathaiq

Ibn al-Qayyim - Allah's ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ is His praise of him, His will to elevate his remembrance, and to bring him near (to Himself). • The believers' ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ is their supplication to Allah, asking Him to bestow these honors upon him. اللهم صل وسلم وبارك على نبينا محمد ﷺ @l_wathaiq
So weep often before your Lord, asking Him to protect and preserve you. A person should fear turning back upon his heels, for hearts change swiftly, and doubts and desires snatch people away. Allah says: "And none feels secure from the plan of Allah except the losers (Qur'an 7:99) For this reason, one of the supplications the Prophet ﷺ made most frequently was: "O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion." Abdullah al-Qasemi died as an atheist and a disbeliever, despite having written a book that some thought had carried him across the bridge to safety and salvation. Nawal El Saadawi was raised as a preacher, wore the hijab, and taught young girls, yet she died as an atheist. I do not know of anyone whose disbelief exceeded that of these two. There was also a man in Morocco who used to be spoken well of, then he left the religion. And there was a Libyan who had been a mujahid, working for the religion of Allah, but then he became heretical and apostatized. There are many who have turned back upon their heels. Therefore, weep often before your Master, asking Him to protect and preserve you. Sheikh Abu Qatada al-Filistini (may Allah preserve him).

The harshest criticism of you is someone praising you for qualities you do not possess, because it alerts you to your shortcomings. And the highest praise of you is someone criticizing you for faults you do not possess, because it points to your virtues. @l_wathaiq
