Survive the Jive: All-feed

This is my Main Altar used for special rites and longer rites. It is a wooden table facing North, on which is a Stag's Skin cover, and on the floor in front a Boar Skin. I use a wolf-Skin which is worn for these rites. On the altar is a bowl containing soil from around various Ancient sites here in England, together with a couple of pieces of Quartz Crystal. Two candles are placed upon this when `I use it, a Mead-Horn and a blowing Horn. Behind this is an Irminsul and a Wolf-Head Staff. There is also an Arm-Ring on the Altar - Oath-Ring.

Some things in common between the Odinist Fellowship altar demonstrated in my video and the Woden’s folk altar in this post: -Wooden table -Two candles -Bowl of soil -Facing North Also many differences. The wolf skin is a unique requirement afaik. Similarities may have something to do with widespread Heathen customs in the 1980’s/90s when these groups were founded

I innocently assumed that by showing different groups' approach to setting up a Heathen altar, I would diplomatically demonstrate the diverse approaches to this extant among modern Heathens. I thought they would all be happy to be represented. In fact, everyone got angry with me!

The runic inscription on the back of this shirt comes from the 5th century Vindelev bracteate and means "(he) is Woden's man" literally 'IZ WODNAS WERAZ' The design of a visored helmet with two raven heads on top comes from a relief fibula brooch (C35675) from Pedersker parish on the Danish island of Bornholm. It clearly pertains to the Odin aka Woden cult. This is a shirt for Woden's top guys. The front of the shirt bears a small zoomorphic triskele over the heart based on Swedish artefacts. It isnt anti-tribalist to recognise that different tribes see the gods in different ways. The worship of various gods by various races developed from those races perceiving the gods. What differs regionally is the perception, not the perceived. This in no way negates the value of those perceptions and the differentiation of peoples that caused the divergent perceptions. All this is divinely ordained too
