Neither … nor ✔️ Neither is used with nor to join two or more negative options. It’s common in writing and sounds slightly formal in conversation. 👉 Neither the teacher nor the students understood the new rule. (The teacher didn’t understand it, and the students didn’t either.) 👉 Neither Monday nor Tuesday works for the meeting. ☝️ A more casual way to say the same thing is with and … not … either: Monday doesn’t work for the meeting, and Tuesday doesn’t either.
