However dark the night grows, a star glimmers here or there—until the promised dawn. For the wells of giving and sacrifice within this nation are passed down from generation to generation... Through them we live, our hopes thrive and come to pass, paving the way for the grand resurgence. •Dr. Laila Hamdan
One of the ways of letting down your oppressed, wronged, vulnerable, and persecuted Muslim brothers and sisters is to neglect their news and remain unaware of what is happening to them, settling instead for the headlines that reach you—headlines crafted by media powers according to their own agendas, designed to numb your awareness and kill your consciousness. Paying attention to the affairs of Muslims is itself one of the means of supporting them, and it may be among the deeds by which you are excused before Allah when you are unable to do more. So do not be the last to know. #Wasl #Quotes

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful Wasl Platform for Muslim World News is pleased to announce the launch of its English-language channel, marking a new step toward expanding the reach of our coverage, connecting with a broader audience, and bringing news from across the Muslim world to readers and followers around the globe. We believe that the truth deserves to be conveyed as it is, and that the issues, news, and events concerning Muslims should not remain confined to a single language or limited geographical sphere. Through our English-language channel, we seek to continue our mission of monitoring developments, reporting the news, highlighting issues affecting Muslims, and amplifying the voices of those who too often go unheard, through independent journalism committed to accuracy and clarity. By the grace of Allah, this step would not have been possible without the efforts of those who generously contributed their time, knowledge, and energy. May Allah reward everyone who has supported us, worked alongside us, shared our reports, and helped us convey the truth as it is. We ask Allah to make Wasl a means of good, to grant us success in faithfully carrying this responsibility, to bless us with truthfulness and sincerity, and to open wider doors for us to serve the causes and concerns of Muslims. Take a step back! Always step back; never pass judgment while immersed in the thick of the scene. How crystal clear the picture becomes when viewed from a distance! The portraits of people, the fleeting moments, the circumstances, and the relentless tides of life will all acquire clarity. You will observe all the details intertwined, while remaining calm of spirit and deep in insight. You will free yourself from the burden of self-serving desires that obscure clear vision, as well as from the shortcomings of haste and impulsivity—whether driven by goodwill or ill intent. You will dissipate the dense dust raised by the initial moment of fascination and the sudden impact of shock! You will shed the weight of unshielded innocence and insufficient awareness, minimizing your losses within a more accurate and realistic margin of error. Step back and deliberate. How many sights are deceptive and misleading! How many slogans are hollow and false! And how many souls climb upon noble values while remaining empty and defeated within! Take a step back; you have nothing to lose, yet you will gain the power of discernment, the soundness of judgment, and the safety of your path. You will not walk along a mined or dead-end road, nor will your foot slip into a swamp that appears green on the surface but is filled with mud and decay beneath. You will not gamble your honor with a scoundrel or a fraud, nor will you enter a transaction with a merchant of illusions! Take a step back—for the sake of every genuine beat of your heart, and for a love of God through which you seek virtue and elevation. Do it so that you may build rather than destroy through personal weakness or a lack of support and wise counsel. Strengthen your integrity with power and sharp intuition, so that you may never be left in regret! Take a step back; for only those who took their distance were able to master the distance ahead! — Dr. Laila Hamdan
Unless we transform the mindset inherited through years of autocratic rule, we will never achieve the profound change needed to rise to exalted heights. First and foremost, we must cease accepting ideas with naive submission, and instead weigh them against the scales of Islamic Law—regardless of the momentum, fame, or publicity surrounding them. A defeated mind can never build glory; for one cannot give what one does not possess

Do not judge a text after extracting it from its era, nor strip it of its context and nuances; for judgments lose their validity when severed from their circumstances. Rather, every discourse must be understood within the framework of its time, lest our judgment transcend the era in which it was produced—imposing upon the text what it never intended, or misinterpreting it altogether. Context is not a mere supplement to understanding; it is integral to it. This stands as a fundamental methodological rule for reading historical texts.

Keep Your Distance Always keep some distance. Do not judge while you are immersed in the scene. How much clearer things become when you observe them from a distance! People, moments, situations, and conflicts all reveal themselves with greater clarity. You begin to see the whole picture, calmly and with insight. You free yourself from the burden of your own expectations, which often cloud your vision, as well as from the haste and impulsiveness born of either excessive trust or undue suspicion. You escape the dust stirred up by the first moment of admiration and by the shock of unexpected events. You free yourself from the burden of unguarded kindness, incomplete understanding, and avoid unnecessary losses by adopting a more accurate and realistic perspective. Keep your distance, and be patient. How many scenes are deceptive. How many slogans are hollow and false. How many people have climbed upon noble ideals while carrying nothing within but emptiness and defeat. Keep your distance. You lose nothing by doing so, but you gain clearer insight, sounder judgment, and greater confidence in your steps. You will not walk into a road filled with hidden traps or one that leads nowhere. Nor will your feet sink into a swamp that appears green on the surface while concealing mud and decay beneath. You will not risk your honor alongside the dishonorable, nor enter into a bargain with a merchant who sells nothing but illusions. Keep your distance—for every sincere beat of your heart, for every act of love for Allah through which you seek goodness and spiritual growth; so that you may build rather than destroy through weakness, lack of support, or poor judgment. Strengthen your integrity with discernment and insight, and you will have no regrets. Keep your distance. Only those who know how to keep their distance are able to lead the journey with wisdom.
What is your life worth if Allah does not love you?

Al-Hasan Al-Basri said: "Seek to have many believing friends, for they will have the privilege of intercession on the Day of Resurrection." Bishr said: "When a servant falls short in obeying Allah, Allah deprives him of those whose companionship brings him comfort, for righteous brothers relieve worries and help one remain steadfast upon the religion." Ibn Al-Athir said: "A true friend is one who walks beside his brother even when he limps. If he sees a fault, he covers and conceals it; and if he sees a virtue, he raises it high like a banner."
The mere contemplation that the believers, across all ages and eras, shall gather in Paradise ignites an unyielding resolve! O Allah, gather us with those highest in faith, greatest in virtue, and most ardent in their love for You, Exalted be Your Majesty. May life and all that is precious be ransomed for this path!
