My grandmother says (in our language it sounds better) “daughters understand a mother’s pain” She says this regarding sons vs daughters As daughters we will care for our mothers in a way differently to our brothers. And as we grow older and marry, and have children, that understanding of their pain and sacrifice deepens So to the daughters, especially the eldest daughters, be honoured to be at the service of your mother. If you are asked by your mother to do more than your other siblings, then know you have been chosen for a reward unlike any other This may be the good deed to enter you into Jannah, don’t neglect it May Allaah bless our mothers, forgive them for their shortcomings and may every sacrifice they have made be a reason for them entering Jannah
