  • The Prophet ﷺ said: “Love whom you love mildly, perhaps he will become hateful to you someday. Hate whom you hate mildly, perhaps he will become your beloved someday.”" [Tirmidhi 1997, Hasan]

  • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 ﷺ 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱: "𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁." (الأدب المفرد للإمام البخاري)

  • Stay faithful, for your delayed dreams, your deferred joys, your unknown fates, your present and stalled destiny, are nothing but a temporary phase of your life; it will be lifted, and you will feel the compensation as if you never waited at all

  • We have forsaken the holy book, the Qur'an, and become bound by the iron chains of mobile devices (a cage of glass and light). O Allah, return us to You with a favorable return, as a man returns to his master after wandering in the desert of distraction.

  • If the servant mentions the sweetness of the outcome, the bitterness of patience becomes easy for him; {Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.

  • If someone praises you for something you do not possess, do not trust that they will refrain from criticizing you for something you did not do. For the tongue that sells you praise you do not deserve will also sell you blame you have not committed. So do not be inflated by the exaggerated praise of the insincere, nor broken by the ignorant criticism of the foolish, and be the one who knows himself better than all people.

  • Ubaadah Ibn as-Saamit ‏رضي الله عنه: "The World will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said: Separate (all) what was (done) from it for (the sake of) Allāh (alone). And it will (all) separate. Then (it will be) said: Throw the rest of it into the fire." [Kitab az-Zuhd al-Wak’ee رحمه الله 362]

  • Imam al-Shafiʿi رحمه الله said: "Do not live in a land in which there is neither a scholar to inform you about your religion, nor a doctor to tell you about your body." [Manaqib Al-Shafiʿi 2/115]

  • S‌hayk‌h al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah said : قال ابن تيمية : فإن الإنسان قد يعرف أن الحق مع غيره ومع هذا يجحد ذلك لحسده إياه أو لطلب علوه عليه أو لهوى النفس، ويحمله ذلك الهوى على أن يعتدي عليه ويرد ما يقول بكل طريق وهو في قلبه يعلم أن الحق معه. A person might know that the truth is with someone else, yet still deny it due to envy, seeking superiority over them, or following the whims of the self. This desire might lead them to wrong the other person and reject their statements in every way, while in their heart they know the truth is with them. ‏مجموع الفتاوى (7/191)

  • Al-Hasan Al-Basri رحمه الله said: “Do you allow your women to mix with men in the marketplaces? May Allah curse those who have no jealousy (or protective honor).” [Qūt Al-Qulūb: 2/418]

  • Ibn al-Qayyim (Rahimahullah) said: If you read (the Qur'an) with contemplation, even if over a (single) ayah, it is a key to healing your heart. Even if repeated a hundred times and for the (whole) night. [Miftaah Daar as-Sa’adah, 553/1]

  • Yahya ibn Mu'adh said, The body becomes sick due to ailments, and the heart becomes sick due to sins. So just as the body does not find pleasure in eating while it is sick, likewise the heart does not experience the sweetness of worship alongside sins. [Dhamm al-Hawaa pg 68]

  • Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: "Whoever has wronged you and then comes to you apologising, humility requires that you accept his apology, whether it is truthful or not, and leave what is in his heart to Allāh. A sign of generosity and humility is that if you notice a flaw in his apology, you neither expose it nor hold it against him." [Madarij As-Salikin, 2/338]

Al-Hasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله said: إذا كثرت ذنوب العبد فلم يكن في عمله ما يكفرها سُلِّط عليه الغموم فتكون كفارةً لذنوبه. “If a servant’s sins become numerous and he has no deeds that will expiate them, Allah afflicts him with worries and grief, making them an expiation for his sins.” Ahsan al-Ṣāliḥīn (2957) Learn about the Salaf: https://t.me/gemsofthesalaf

  • Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) said: It is not a matter of you loving Allāh; Rather, the matter is that Allāh loves you. and Allāh does not love you unless you follow His beloved (ﷺ), outwardly and inwardly (in what is apparent and what is hidden). [Madarij as-Salikeen, 3/39, Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah)]

  • Ibn Qutaibah رحمه الله said: "In the past, a student of knowledge would listen to learn, and learn to act, and gain understanding of the religion in order to benefit himself and others. But now it has become such that they listen (only) in order to accumulate, and they accumulate (only) in order to be mentioned, and they memorise in order to overcome (others) and boast."
